Last year we had the amazing opportunity to serve our local foster care community by not only providing a space for their annual Holiday Gift Giveaway, but also by providing donations for the event. You can be a major blessing to foster families and kids by providing gifts for this Christmas gift giveaway! As with many drives, toys for young children are easy to come by but little is donated/provided for the teenage population.
We would once again like to focus on this age group for donations (but if you have your heart set on younger children, you can donate to them also!).
Remember, choose quality over quantity (teenagers notice). Here are some gift ideas for that age group:
- perfume and body sprays
- bath and body lotions
- body wash for boys
- soft blankets
- long boards
- board games
- journals
- make-up
- jewelry
- cool beanies
- airpod type earbuds (wireless ones)
- wireless speakers
- Strings of LED lights (for bedrooms)
You may bring donations to church on December 5th or December 12th. You may also drop them off Friday evening after 6 pm on December 17th (final day before the event).
