MISSION & VISION
Our Mission
Redemption Church exists to make disciples, join together as members of a family, and mobilize missionaries.
Our Vision
Our vision is to see a Gospel-centered church in Ogden, Utah that also engages students of Weber State University. We hope to one day see hundreds of churches started in Utah starting in Ogden and throughout the Salt Lake metropolitan area.
Our Values
Gospel Centered
The Gospel is not a set of laws, rules, or principles. It is good news of something that has already happened. That good news is that Jesus Christ has died for the sins of the world, and those who repent and believe in Him will have eternal life. The work has been finished by Jesus on the cross.
The Gospel message centers all that we are and all that we do as a church. It gives hope and freedom to those who don’t yet believe. For those who do believe, it is a lens in which we see the world. We forgive others because we have been forgiven much. We love others because Jesus loved us first. We give generously because Jesus gave so generously.
Transparent Lives
Religion tells us that we have to earn God’s favor and reward by what we do and how we live. The truth is that if we’re honest, we are all sinners and have imperfection in our lives. When we are open before God and other believers about our struggles and weakness, God is glorified. We don’t have to wear a religious mask and can truly help one another in genuine community.
We strive to be a church where we can be transparent with each other and not wear a religious mask.
Sacrificial Generosity
Because we have been been generously given the gift of life through Jesus Christ, we also want to give generously through the message of the Gospel and through physical investment for the betterment of our city.
Multiply Everything
Gospel work is not limited to Ogden, Utah. Our vision to multiply the number of churches also means we need to multiply everything else inside of the church to see that vision fulfilled.
Partnerships and Affiliations
Redemption Church is a local, independent autonomous church that makes decisions as a body. There is no church hierarchy that makes decisions for the body except the church itself. Its members vote to approve its pastors, set the yearly budget, and make major church transformational decisions. We choose to voluntarily affiliate with like-minded organizations and networks for the purpose of fellowship and mission.
Many of our partnerships have helped us in many ways through finances, prayer, and people. We are very grateful for each of our partnerships.
Send Network & the SBC
We partner with the Southern Baptist Convention and related entities for the purpose of shared mission, fellowship, and like-minded beliefs.
Other Churches
We have many churches across the country who send support for church planting, send mission teams, and have even sent people to live in the Ogden area to live as missionaries and help Redemption in any way they can.
