ABOUT RFC

RFC Mission

We exist to multiply gospel impact in Utah and around the world through church planting, leadership development, and community transformation.

RFC Vision

Redemption Church Ogden started as a church with a vision to see hundreds of churches planted throughout Utah. Over the last decade, RC Ogden has supported nine new church starts throughout Utah, and it has planted several others. Church planting is incredibly difficult, but there are ways to make the planting process healthier and more efficient. What started to evolve from those early conversations was not just one church planting hundreds of churches throughout Utah but a Family of Churches working to accomplish that mission together. A Family of Churches can collaborate with financial resources, people resources, leadership pipelines, and a community of believers that support these fledgling churches.

We believe that church planting is the major outcome of all missions activity. Our goal is to plant hundreds of churches throughout Utah and in some of the toughest places in the globe.

Leadership Development

To plant hundreds of churches in Utah, we need missional leaders, pastors, church planters, and international missionaries. This is why we have created a leadership pipeline to fill those needs.

Community Transformation – Redemption Church

Community Transformation

As the Gospel transforms lives, it also has a secondary impact on the community. Our goal is to provide real solutions to the physical & emotional needs our community is dealing with.

RFC Leadership Board

Pastors from each member church in the RFC compose the governing board of this body and meet together monthly to discuss the business of the family. These meetings are not just about business but also a brotherhood of pastors who care about one another and are called to work together for the sake of mission.

 

The Leadership Board is responsible for admitting new member churches and removing existing member churches. They are accountable for amending bylaws, approving budgets and non-budgeted expenses, overseeing and holding the President accountable, and handling any other necessary business.

The Leadership Board is be comprised of no more than two pastors from each member church that will represent that church at the RFC Board meeting. Representative pastors from each member church will be selected by their respective member church for each RFC Board meeting.

RFC Elected Officers

Each January, the leadership board of the RFC elects a President, Chairman, and Treasurer to help run the day-to-day operations of the RFC. A recording secretary is also appointed by the current Chairman.
Bobby Wood

PRESIDENT

 

Bobby is the teaching pastor at Redemption Ogden. He was elected to his role as president in January of 2024.

  • Bobby is married to Lindsay and they have two daughters and two sons.
  • Hobbies: South Carolina Gamecock fan, hiking, talking theology, ultimate frisbee, and spending time with my family
Daniel Savage

CHAIRMAN, TREASURER

 

Daniel is the Worship and Arts Pastor at Redemption Ogden. He was elected as treasurer in January of 2024, and elected Chairman in 2025.

  • Born and raised in Fayetteville, AR
  • Daniel is married to Janna and they have two sons.

Redemption Church Launch

SEPTEMBER 2013

 

Redemption Church launched in the Ziegfeld Theater in Ogden, Utah.

Strategic Partnership With Summit Church

MARCH 2019

 

Summit Church joined with Redemption Church and both churches started meeting in the current building off 39th St in S. Ogden.

Morgan Grace Church Replant

MAY 2020

 

Sent out Chase and Gavin Roberts to replant Morgan Grace Church in Morgan, Utah

Launch of Leadership School

JAN 2023

 

Redemption had 17 students start out in the first semester of Leadership School.

Launch of Redemption North Davis

EASTER 2023

 

Thirty people were sent from Redemption Ogden and started meeting at the Kaysville Theater.

RFC Inaugural Board Meeting

The RFoC officially started with its first board meeting and first church planting resident of the RFoC.

Launch of Redemption Church North Ogden

FALL 2024

 

Redemption North Ogden became the 3rd RFC Church Plant when launching in the Fall of 2024.

What We Believe

Our beliefs are central to everything that we do, and we want everyone who feels called to make Redemption Church their home to understand why we do what we do.

The Bible

This is the Word of God given to us for truth, to tell us when we are wrong, to correct our path, and for instruction. The Bible itself is Scripture, and there is no other book or document which carries the same authority. It is divinely inspired and free from error in the original manuscripts.

God

There is one God who is Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and Lord and King over all the universe. He has existed eternally, self-existing, as our triune God in Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is distinct and personal without division of nature, essence, or being. To Him, all the glory of the universe is due. Out of Him proceeds all truth and is perfect in every way.

The Father

God the Father is infinite, personal, and spirit. He is all powerful, all knowing, and all loving. The Father saves all those who turn to and believe in the atoning work of His Son Jesus Christ.

The Son

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. In addition to His full divinity, He was born of the virgin Mary becoming fully human as well. He atoned for our sins through the atonement as a sinless man, was raised again in bodily form from the dead, and will one day return. He is our mediator and intercessor.

The Gospel

This is the Good News of what Jesus Christ has already done and not something to be done. It is the message of righteousness that Jesus Christ has paid the price for all our sins and offers righteousness and eternal life as a gift to all who believe.

The Church

It exists in two forms: universal and local. The universal church is the group of people all throughout history who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone and have been made new. The local church is a group of believers who gather together for worship, performing the ordinances, reading of Scripture, and making disciples of all nations.
